When I woke up on this first morning of 2016, the first thing that came to my mind was: I am a teacher now.
Yes, a teacher. What does this mean? It means that I can no longer afford to remain the silly, messy, disorganized, confused, scared, diffident, and panicky half-baked graduate teaching student as I have been these past months. It means that I have to adopt a 'teacher' persona into my whole lifestyle, even outside of classroom, when I eat, sleep, talk, think. Simply put (perhaps!), I have to prioritize my students above all things.
